Sticky Situation

Okay, so this may be my last post for quite some time. I know it’s been a while already, but summer has been fun and very busy, so blogging has been the least of my concerns.

Reasons for the suddent desire to write: crazy shit is going down over the next week of my life that will strain every ounce of patience I have. First and foremost, my working situation is going to change. We currently have only four employees to spread out over the entire work week. This means I’ll be working extra hours and shifts I don’t normally work. This means I’ll be busier than usual.

Second, I’m moving. I’ve finally reached the week that I leave this hole behind. Sadly though, it isn’t going to be an easy leave. My current roommate’s mother isn’t about let this thing end peacefully. I just received an e-mail telling me in a very impersonal manner that I still owe $239 dollars for various expenses such as “starting supplies” that she bought for her son. These, I’m assuming, include garbage bags, toiletries, and cleaning supplies, which I’ve also purchased for the apartment. So I’m not quite sure where she’s pulling this amount from. I also just checked my mailbox to find that it says my current apartment is vacant. Apparently, I’m to be completely moved out of here on the 15th, something I have not been told yet by my roommate or his mother. Due to the shortage of employees I work this day, so I’ll have to arrange something where I can move myself out early if possible or have family come down and help move me out. Needless to say this is very trying on my patience, as I just wanted to get leave this apartment with no hard feelings. Apparently, that was too difficult for this family.

The only good news is that my new apartment is set to be moved into on the 15th as well. Which means that if I can get someone to cover for me at work, I will be able to move in on that day. That’s assuming I can get my father or someone to come down and help me move the larger things from this apartment (ie., my bed).

Again, more bad news, is that no internet or cable will be at the new apartment for at least a week or so. So I’ll be living without some modern conveniences for a little while. School is starting up soon and the last thing I wanted was this mess to deal with, but some people are just spiteful because they can be. See you in a few weeks.
