Walking on Sunshine
I just got my Philosophy 126 (it’s a course in metaphysics) exam back and was surprised to find I got the highest grade in the class; a 96. I was a little worried over this one because I wasn’t 100% on all the names of the presocratic thinkers and such. But it’s all good, I bent the test over and kicked its ass. It’s funny how a little thing like that can make the whole day go by so much smoother. With a little extra bounce in my step, I began my trek back to my dorm. The weather has been pretty shitty all day, but the freezing rain stopped and a light flurrying began. While passing the bus stop that I usually skip, the Green Link came by. There are four different busses that run on campus. Normally I don’t see a bus at all at this bus stop, and on the times I do, there are a hundred others just getting out of their classes waiting for the same bus. The Green Link is special because it doesn’t go all the way down the main road, so less people get on. That meant I could actually catch this bus and save myself a fifteen minute walk in the below thirty weather. Now these are only small things I realize, but it’s definitely funny how so many small things can start to just align like the moon and the stars after one good event. Of course, the exclamation point at the end of this is the fact that it is already Thursday. All tests are done and only one class stands in the way of my spring break. I’m walking on sunshine….
